Well it can be done. You don't even need to check the stats. As broadband has increased and sales of PCs and laptops have become much more affordable. More people than ever are now online. This provides a great market place for your new website, or online web business.

As the credit crunch has hit nationwide. People still haven't stopped spending, local shops may have closed, mostly because the rents and rates are too high. All this has done is send shoppers online. The need for products or services just won't cease, just where they are sold that has changed. Take a look at your high street. Where I live in Brighton, the town is heaving with shoppers.  The lanes, north laines and the commercial shopping areas. There is money out there and online. So what are you waiting for. Go and find it and create products or services for those shoppers waiting to spend!

If you are really serious about selling online and making an income from it, do it properly and do some research. Make sure you buy a good domain name that states what you are selling. Ie.laminateflooring.com rather than floorconstructionltd.com.  Thats where I went wrong on my first website. People would ask me what did it mean?  And what was I selling? If you have got the money to create a brand name ( Orange, TESCO) support it with thousands of marketing and PR then go ahead. But I didn't so think again.

Popular and more of a well known option to make money online. Is to start your own online shop. Sell what ever you like or sell a product you know a lot about. You can sell practically every conceivable product. Either  sell merchants or affilate products or  services.       

Think about where you can market and sell your product. It really is a good idea to have a plan. If you find it hard to sell or market your product maybe you should try  selling something else. You really want something that is quick to market and starts generating sales.
